Q: Congratulations on recently being voted Hilton Head’s Best Mexican Restaurant. Can you tell us more?
A: Since opening in late 2014, we have been working hard at delivering an unparalleled Mexican food experience to Hilton Head. 2015 was really our first full year in business on Hilton Head and we were thrilled and honored to receive this Best Mexican Restaurant distinction!
Q: Wow, You must be really proud of your team.
A:This is a big accomplishment for us and I’m extremely proud of our team and all the hard work they have put in to Holy Tequila to get us on the map. It’s great that our concept and cuisine has been so well received and we are excited to keep innovating and delivering delicious and affordable food that people love and keep them coming back week after week.
Q: What makes Holy Tequila and the food so great?
A: We take a fresh approach to our food and Mexican in general. We’re working hard at creating a gourmet quality niche numbered chalkboard items covered in mystery sauce people have come accustomed to at more traditional Mexican restaurants. We are setting ourselves apart from other restaurants with an unparalleled dining atmosphere, leading edge service and a chef inspired menu featuring gourmet quality ingredients to create an assortment of dishes with a perfect balance of Mexican influence and new American flavors— all for around an $8-$10 price point. Furthermore, we offer a localized menu that allows us to celebrate the regionally sourced ingredients and local flavors of the lowcountry. We also make an effort to prepare everything in house from scratch, from our homemade tortillas to our assortment of fresh salsa made daily. At the end of the day, we are lazer focused on delivering a gourmet dining experience without the gourmet price tag.
Q: You mentioned a differentiated atmosphere-what can customers expect?
A:The restaurant offers a unique ambiance that promotes fun within a casual and inviting atmosphere. We have an open air indoor/outdoor section that opens to our garden patio with live music daily by Spanish guitarists to provide a full sensory experience. Additionally, we have a private tequila lounge available for a more intimate dining setting or to host large parties and events.
